The cards above are the ones which we created together for our family, but Sam has quite a large social group so we have to make some more for his little friends so today we completed some potato printing!
I find potato printing can be hit or miss, especially when using BLACK PAINT (the one which does not wash!) but today it worked quite well! (If you can guess what Sam done straight after I took this photo you can also know that black paint doesn't taste so good!)
We are currently waiting for these black splodges to dry then we will be doing some white splodging! Technical terms all round today!
The black splodges dried! So we moved on to white splodges! Showed him how to get the white in the middle on my one and he did it on all 10 of his! Definitely feel like he understands me more each day!!!
And the end result:
Gluing with a 19 month old... not as fun as it looks ;-)

Sam is big on cars at the moment (really anything with wheels!) and I was wondering what to do with this fake snow that I had bought from the pound shop, so a major snow storm hit our small world!
Sam enjoyed making car tracks in the snow, we used paint brushes as street sweepers! To help clear a path for the cars, and also to brush the snow from the cars!
At 19 months, realism isn't really going to mean much to Sam, but enforcing these real life situations mean that we can use words like snow, frost, ice, sweep, clear, slow, fast, slippery, etc - buzz words that will become more meaningful as he gets older.

- Iridescent sparkle
- Christmas Tree Ice Cube Tray
- Metal trays
- Bead chains
- LED lights
- Sparkle Snowflakes
- Sparkle Pom Poms
Two trays that were made up over the start of December to help keep Sam occupied when we were putting up the tree with decorations that he could play with and explore - and keeping him away from our breakable decorations!
He really enjoyed both trays - more so the second one to the first. I really need to get some tongs for him to use on the pom poms - I think he would enjoy moving them around the tray more that way.
He did introduce a box from one of our other decorations with a flip lid into his play - putting the objects from these trays into it and closing the lid, then opening the lid and removing the objects. He enjoyed doing this repeatedly.

The Autumn window has gone sadly and we are moving on to Winter! I plan to also add some snowflakes to the window too - hoping to do it on a day where it is actually snowing!
Below are the printables I made for our window! Again the images are from google images but these are nice and clear for Sam to learn!

Sam is learning all sort of colours at the moment so I thought it would be good to create some colour wheels for recognition! There is also a future activity I have planned with these involving matching coloured pegs too. But for now here are the simple and advanced printables for the colour wheels:
